[tulip] EZ 10/100 Problems

Hello,

I have a SMC EZ 10/100 PCMCIA networking card. I tried to use the card
on my Sony Vaio notebook with Debian Sid with both Kernels 2.2.19 and
2.4.13 with the newest PCMCIA-Package which I compiled from source.

The computer makes two high beeps when I insert the card and ifconfig shows
the eth0 interface. But when I try to ping anything on the net, I
don't get any response from ping. It does not print anything on the
screen.

I have an other PCMCIA card (NE2000) which works fine on the same
network und the SMC EZ 10/100 PCMCIA card works with win2000. 

Is there anything I can do to find out why the card is not working? I
saw the card in /etc/pcmcia/config.
