[tulip] Tulip and change of mac address

Is it possible to change the MAC address of a tulip based board?
(not permanently)

I saw something on
http://www.netwinder.org/~stany/netwinder_board_rev_faq.html#changing_your_MAC
that previous tulip versions could make this.

Also tulip-diag has some switches.

Any ideas where to find it?

A SIOCSIFHWADDR ioctl call would be nice that this could be done through
the ifconfig hw settings.
