Hello,
the tulip driver does not work on my Compaq Presario 17Xl470.
The reason could be a hardwired NIC on IRQ7.
After network startup i get the message ".... pcwsr7 kernel: spurious =
8259A interrupt: IRQ7.
output of /proc/interrupt:
...
5: 0 XT-PIC usb-uhci
8: 2 XT-PIC rtc
9: 2 XT-PIC i82365, eth0
...
(Interrupt 7 is unused)
ifconfig output:
...
interrupt: 9 Base address: 0x1400.
I tried "options tulip irq=3D7" in /etc/modules.conf, but the tulip =
interrupt is allways 9.
Is it possible to change the interrupt via options?
How can i change the tulip source to test interrupt 7 for the tulip =
driver?
Best regards
Wolfgang Stuehlmeyer
