[tulip] more problems with linksys LNE100TX v4.0

I'm running OpenLinux eDesktop 2.4 (kernel 2.2.14) and have a Linksys
LNE100TX v4.0 NIC. Like the last thread, I too get the error messages

        pci_drv_unregister
        pci_drv_register

when I run the "modprobe tulip" command. I have compiled pci_scan.c and
moved it, along with v 0.92i of tulip.c, into the
/lib/modules/2.2.14/net/ directory. At one point, I commented out the
lines tulip.c that reference these functions (pci_drv_[un]register), and
this allowed modprobe to work, but that didn't seem to solve my overall
problem and only created more confusing problems further down the line.

Unfortunately, I'm running PhoenixBIOS. In general, no one is too
complimentary of these guys. I've noticed that /proc/pci says that both
my audio and NIC are on IRQ 10 (neither works), but I currently see no
way of changing either. This is on a really new eMachine with no ISA
slots. Not sure if my problem is related to this or not, but thought
I'd mention it.

I appreciate any help I can get on this. Thanks.

Neil
