[tulip] Linksys ver2 is working - conclusion

As a conclusion:

I switched to tulip.c supplied by Linksys and with this driver
my Linksys 100 TX ver 2 card works fine in 100TX-Full Duplex mode,
connected via crossover cable to Windows98 notebook.

On contrary, 0.92 driver fails to connected at 100 Mbs connection
(although it tries for some time but gets transmit timeout).
 Seems to be the same problem with autonegotiation of Linksys cards
as was heavily discussed on this mailing list in March. Although now
it is not a connection to a switch, but a direct crossover connection
to another machine.

PS   As a remark:   gcc-2.95.2   failed to compile the drivers
