I have never had a lockup. I did have problem when trying to force it =
to use a specific media type, but I found that if I just left it alone =
and do autonegotiation, everything was fine. Mind you, I do NOT have =
heavy traffic as it's only used for my home lan.

I got a Compex FL400TX (4x 10/100Mbps), it's was pretty much low =
cost=20
(~250 US$). Basically it is just 4x tulip chip and it works quite =
nice.=20
