Hi there,

I just now got the Linksys fast ethernet 10/100 network kit. It came =
with two disks. The Linksys site says that if you have the newer card =
which supports Wake-On-Lan support then I will need the new driver from =
second floppy. So I copied the driver from the disk. followed the =
instructions fromt he site which are.

Log in to your Linux box as root, admin, or super user.

                                       Obtain the Tulip.c driver from =
the Linksys disk, or by
                                       downloading the latest version of =
it as described above.

                                       Compile the Tulip.c driver with =
the following command
                                       (type the entire command on one =
line):

                                       gcc -DMODULE -D__KERNEL__=20
                                       -I/usr/src/linux/net/inet=20
                                       -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O6 -c =
tulip.c
                                       `[ -f =
/usr/include/linux/modversions.h ]
                                       && echo -DMODVERSIONS`=20

                                       If your system is using dual =
processors, compile the
                                       Tulip.c driver using this command =
instead (type the entire
                                       command on one line):

                                       gcc -D__SMP__ -DMODULE =
-D__KERNEL__=20
                                       -I/usr/src/linux/net/inet=20
                                       -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O6 -c =
tulip.c=20
                                       `[ -f =
/usr/include/linux/modversions.h ]=20
                                       && echo -DMODVERSIONS`=20

                                       Next:

                                       mv =
/lib/modules/kernel_version/net/tulip.o /tmp=20

                                       cp tulip.o =
/lib/modules/kernel_version/net=20

                                       Next, issue the following =
commands as root:

                                       depmod -a=20

                                       modprobe tulip.o=20

+++++++++++

At this point I get a error that says =
/lib/modules/kernel_version/net/tulip.o invalid parameter io.=20

I have no clue what does it mean. Please if anyone is monitoring this =
mail, any quick help is appreciated.

Thanks,
~Nathen.
