[tulip] smc8432 EtherPower ethernet card

I am using smc8432 EtherPower ethernet card on Linux Mandrake 7.1 and I
think I am experiencing some problem with tulip on my card. Every so often,
I get a message saying:

"no 21041 10baseT link beat, Media switched to 10base2."

I read that my card does not work well with "Link_testing". Is it possible
that the problem is based on the link test? with which option can I use to
disable link_test or switch to "10BaseT No_Link_Test" mode.
