G'day Howard

You should try ifconfig and look for the eth0 interface, I'm not
sure but it seems the interface may not be up. I'm assuming you
have set up your networking details in netconf. Try ifup eth0
if its missing from ifconfig.

The Macronix 98715 is just the chipset found by tulip, don't worry
about that.
