lne100tx version 2.0 and tulip 0.91

I can't get the lne100tx version 2.0 card to work plugged into a 10/100
or 100 Mbps only switch. It works plugged into a 10 Mbps hub or in a
windows computer connected to the 10/100 switch. The LED's on the card
and hubs/switches indicate the correct speed, but the tulip-diag program
always reports 10mpbs-serial for the new card.

Older versions of the card are working fine in several linux machines.

dmesg reports:
tulip.c:v0.91 4/14/99 becker@cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov
eth0: Lite-On 82c168 PNIC rev 32 at 0x1000, 00:A0:CC:24:0E:57, IRQ 10.
eth0: MII transceiver #1 config 3100 status 7829 advertising 01e1.
eth1: Lite-On PNIC-II rev 37 at 0x1400, 00:A0:CC:35:95:19, IRQ 9.
eth1: Transmit timed out, status e4260000, CSR12 000050cc, resetting...

eth0 works fine, but eth1 never seems to transmit (errors every time):

bear /etc/modutils $ /sbin/ifconfig eth1
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:A0:CC:35:95:19

          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          Interrupt:9 Base address:0x1400

Any suggestions for getting the card working on the 10/100 switches?
