I've been happily sharing a NETgear FA310TX card with a TekRam 390F and now an
original NCR53C810 scsi controller for quite some time on both my home system
(Pentium-II) and work system (dual Pentium Pro, which I just recently changed
the scsi card to my Adaptec 2940UW). Note, I use the 2.2.x kernels (2.2.3
currently). So rather than patching 2.0.36, you might want to rev up your
utilities and go to 2.2.x.
