Brian,
here aare soem results (all very reproducible)
I just posted some of my boot problems with .90f and .90k
I also put some netgear Lite-On Nics in our cluster
to check some things:
NETPERF: 21140 NIC (.90f driver) ---> LITE-ON (.90k driver)
---------------------------------------------------------------
UDP UNIDIRECTIONAL SEND TEST to coyote2
Socket Message Elapsed Messages
Size Size Time Okay Errors Throughput
bytes bytes secs # # 10^6bits/sec
65535 1472 59.99 487436 0 95.69
65535 59.99 487436 95.69
TCP STREAM TEST to coyote2
Recv Send Send
Socket Socket Message Elapsed
Size Size Size Time Throughput
bytes bytes bytes secs. 10^6bits/sec
65535 65535 65535 59.99 94.76
NETPERF: LITE-ON (.90k driver) ----> 21140 NIC (.90f driver)
----------------------------------------------------------------
UDP UNIDIRECTIONAL SEND TEST to coyote4
Socket Message Elapsed Messages
Size Size Time Okay Errors Throughput
bytes bytes secs # # 10^6bits/sec
65535 1472 59.99 264167 0 51.85
65535 59.99 264167 51.85
TCP STREAM TEST to coyote4
Recv Send Send
Socket Socket Message Elapsed
Size Size Size Time Throughput
bytes bytes bytes secs. 10^6bits/sec
65535 65535 65535 60.00 51.73
Using the other NICs in my cluster I get between 94-95 Mbits/sec
I may try patching .90f as suggested and see if it works better with
the Lite-On card.
My test script:
./netperf -t UDP_STREAM -p 12865 -n 2 -l 60 -H coyote$1 -- -s 65535 -m
1472
./netperf -t TCP_STREAM -p 12865 -n 2 -l 60 -H coyote$1
