The above does not look right (bcast of 255.255.255.255)...

the bcast for a .224 netmask on a subnetted class C with an ip of .197
should be 

192.76.244.233



So... 

Network: 192.76.244.192
Broadcast: 192.76.244.233
Netmask: 255.255.255.224
Lowusable IP: 192.76.244.193
Highusable IP: 192.76.244.232


ifconfig eth0 192.76.244.197 broadcast 192.76.244.233 netmask
