Macronix MX98713A

I have a pair of SOHOware/NDC cards based on the Macronix MX98713A chip set. 
According to the company that sold them, the tulip.c driver should work.  When I
actually try to use it however, the card gets turned off (no lights on the hub
or card) once the card is detected.  I was wondering if this is a known bug and
if there are plans to fix it (and if so, how soon :)).
