bug with the tulip driver?

   The card (Kingston KNE-100TX) works fine, haven't had any issues concerning 
   the network card.  It's just that the TX stats are way off.  The system has 
   been up ~9 days running kernel 2.1.108.  (tulip driver is 0.89H)

The proc file structures have probably changed again, thus your
ifconfig is out-of-date for the development kernel you are running.
