Can't get TWO Linksys EtherFast 10/100 PCI at same time

Hi. Help! I can't get both Linksys EtherFast 10/100
PCI cards working at same time. I've seen a post on
DejaNews of someone else having the same problem. He
gave up :-)
Does anyone have a successful TWO Linksys EtherFast
10/100 PCI card machine running? I wanted to use
this as an IP masquerading firewall...

My cards are both PNIC 169 chipset.
I'm using tulip.c v.90F with kernel 2.0.36
Here's my LILO info:
in /etc/lilo.conf:
append = " ether=0,0,eth1"
(I think this is all I am supposed to do -- tell me
if I'm missing something -- and, yes, I ran /sbin/lilo
afterwards. BTW, if I try to specify which eth#
to use with which IRQ card, it ignores me. Bug?)
