Presumably this card works with 2.2.17, correct?

This message indicates that the interrupt from the card isn't getting
through.
Try booting your SMP system with the "noapic" LILO option.

Please send a report.
If "noapic" fixes the problem, let us know
If it doesn't, including the IRQ assigned to the card and any interesting
IRQ related warnings from /var/log/dmesg.
