Tulip - Promiscuous Interface Mode w/ More than one card

I noticed that with the tulip drivers on a linux 2.0.3x machine that
putting one of the DEC tulips into promiscuous mode when I have
more than one tulip in the same machine seems to cause it to interfere
with the first one.  This is not the behaviour I get with other cards
I put in the same machine.  Any idea as to whether this is a bug,
or am I missing something?
