I should clarify a bit more about this card.

On the box, it's called a DFE-538TX/R, but the PCB is labelled
"DFE-538TX Rev.D1". The chip on the board is labelled:

DL10038C
0A183A1
046B TAIWAN

It actually comes with an rtl8139.c kernel module for Linux, but it doesn't
compile with 2.4.x kernels, and I definitely don't want to downgrade my kernel
just to support this one card. This driver's version string is:

static const char *version =
"rtl8139.c:v1.08 6/25/99 Donald Becker http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/rtl8139.html\n";

Just a little on the old side.

Cheers, John
