Hi all,
  Finally I find out what I need to do to make it works. That is I
forgot to turn of the
PnP OS support in HP's very fancy BIOS. :-) Then everything works great!
My debian
potato is up and showing!
  But could anyone tell me that what does it mean by turning off this
option?
