System hang with SMC EtherPower II and epic100 driver

I tried this driver out last night.  Unfortunately, my system still
froze after about 5 minutes.  No network activity other than a
Windows-NT and a Windows 95 systems which would be doing their normal
interrogation .  Switched back to a different board, and things worked
OK.

I guess that at least on this system I will not be using the EtherPower
II network board.
