I've been having some problems with a system hard hanging whenever it gets
a moderate amount of network traffic. The system is used for simultaneous
X sessions from NCD X terminals, and can often see over 30 such users.
The users have their home directories mounted via NFS from a Sun running
Solaris. Once we get to ~ 20 users, chances are pretty good that the
system is going to lockup and require a hard reset ==> 20 really upset
users.

Here are the specifics on our configuration:

Motherboard: Tyan Tiger 100 w/ 1.12 BIOS
Processor: dual 400MHz P-II
Memory: 512MB ECC SDRAM
Network: SMC EtherPower II connected to Xylan 10/100 switch
OS: 2.0.35
driver: epic100.c v1.04

I'm about at my wits end with this thing. If it's not hard-hanging, its
getting Tx timeouts. It will run for about 3-4 hours, max.

Anyone have some ideas or similar experiences?

- Steve
