[eepro100] EEpro100, Red Hat 7.1, wait_for_cmd_done timeout

Ok, I did all of this, but now I am having a new problem
I did the netdrivers install that you suggested and changed the. It was running real good for a while.
However it appears to degrade over time.
Some weird messages in /var/log/messages about some command not being
Jan 8 11:56:01 ran kernel: Command 0070 was not accepted after 20001
polls! Current status 01700000.
Jan 8 11:56:01 ran kernel: Command 10 was not immediately accepted, 10001
Jan 8 11:56:01 ran kernel: Command 90 was not immediately accepted, 10001
Jan 8 11:56:01 ran last message repeated 3 times
Jan 8 11:56:03 ran kernel: Command 80 was not immediately accepted, 10001
Jan 8 11:56:04 ran kernel: Command 80 was not immediately accepted, 10001
Don't know if this is related to the ethernet drivers or not although some
of the eepro100 archives show this as a problem. But that was back in
Pings are currently running at around 400 ms, now 100 ms. Longer than
after I rebooted the machine.
Any more ideas, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
