Missing Include in 1.09t when used with 2.3.x

I've noticed that I had to add the following two lines of #includes to
make it work with kernel 2.3.17.

eepro100.c,1.09r, Line 103
#include "k_compat.h"
#include "pci-netif.h"

is this normal?
