i have a hp procurve switch 2223, connected to a single redhat 5.2 =
machine with
pro/100. once prowered up, the switch's activity light starts flashing =
nonstop. there
is no other machine or network connected to the switch. i've verified =
that there's no
problem with the network connection. when running tcpdump...nothing =
shows.

what's the card doing? how can i make the light go away?

thanks
mark
