bproc 2.0.2 vs. 2.2.18

Hi:

I'm applying bproc to 2.2.18. For the most part it goes smoothly:
with two easy-to-fix rejects and one hard-to-fix reject (which i'm
asking about now)

The bproc patch tries to patch the kernel_thread() function in
include/asm-alpha/unistd.h . That function does not exist anymore.

I'm primarily concerned with making an x86 kernel, so if i just ignore
this patch, will all be ok?

I assume bproc development is still going on: any hints as to when
'mere mortals' might see a new version?

Thanks
==rob
