The limitations of Ethernet seem to be recognised by many participants in the network area. That is the reason for the founding of the Ultra-Ethernet alliance: https://ultraethernet.org/ Maybe on that site you could find more information?
(Disclosure: I work for HPE, one of the founding members, but am not involved directly with this).
