Alternatively: it's been used for many years, has had a lot of bugs shaken out 
and is very stable. :-)

>From where we are it's still very actively developed, it works well and we've 
got a lot of experience with it so unless something rather terminal happens 
we're unlikely to change without a good reason (like getting hardware it 
doesn't support).
