Hmm, let's see

+  $2.4 Billion for Sale of System X Unit
-  $1.0 Billion invested in Watson Business Unit
-------------------------------------------------
   $1.4 billion profit

I think they are indicating Watson is their way forward.

Of course they could always take their $1.4 Billion and
buy half of a profitless web 2.0 site
