The Slurm documentation is actually at:

The Slurm developers have no access to the LLNL pages to update them
so they are out of date (including that section about PAM as the
module is now included in Slurm, the SF website the LLNL one points to
is old).
If anyone knows people at LLNL they may want to prod them about
perhaps redirecting those web pages to the current Slurm docs.
