[Beowulf] Definition of HPC

what about the factors such as speed (or time), throughput? when we say
high performance, I am of the view that do large scale processing but in
shorter (gainful of time) windows...and it may require addition of extra
hardware/memory/machines (horizontal/vertical scaling).
