Guess that means Oracle is no longer looking at Red Hat...;-)
Maybe IBM will turn around and buy Red Hat. Which would actually be a
brilliant move on their part, I think. I even think IBM corporate
culture has come far enough that they MIGHT be able to cope with being a
premier non-proprietary resource provider for the OS community.
It looks like the price per share isn't substantially different from
what IBM was offering, but either way, this is a much better fit. IBM
and Sun have been natural competitors for years; Oracle and Sun have
been natural partners.
