Hi Geoff,
Stupid? More likely attempting to minimize the BOM of the board, if
that is the case. Stupid? I mean folks have been talking about the
shared NIC on some Dell system boards in this thread. That is a clear
example where all the circuitry on the system board is not isolated.
Exactly my point. You don't need to go into the lab, if you just
remembered what was said in this thread, you have a clear example.
