Diep is not floating point. it is integer oriented.

Opteron is fastest processor at the moment (when testing single core).
Sudhian.com is testing the new dual core AMDs and INTEL processors for it now.

Old results:
quad opteron 2.0Ghz : 400k nps (without pgo)
8 processor Xeon MP 2.8Ghz : 700k nps (with pgo)
  16 processor altix3000 1.3Ghz : 800k nps (with pgo)
  512 processor Origin3800 500Mhz : 4.0-9.9 million nps (without pgo,
SGI never managed to explain how that works practical)

note: Chess is very difficult to parallellize efficiently (so
parallellization without first slowing it down factor 40 at a single
processor in order to get better speedup numbers at more than 1 processor).

Best regards,
Vincent
