[Beowulf] Good 1 Gbit switches - which ones?

I just bought Foundry EdgeIrons at about $3K for 24 ports. Excellent
performance, and stellar small packet performance as tested in my
network engineering lab (Anritsu MD1230). The latest variant of HP
ProCurve looks good by the specs, but I'd been able to test the EdgeIrons...
