Best to set in the $PBS_HOME/server_priv/nodes file.

node001
node002 64bit opteron
node003 64bit aix64
node004 64bit hpux64


that would allow people to ask for 64 bit nodes if they had something that 
magically worked on AMD64/Linux, IA64/HPUX or 64-bit PPC/AIX (and thus didn't 
care what they got), or specifically for a 64-bit architecture.
