What is the best C IDE on Linux?

I'd say, spend a little time getting used to X and some random window manager -
then learn Emacs.

If you want to settle for less (I would, six years ago, today I'm very happy I
didn't), KDevelop seems to be a very nice IDE with integrated "everything"
(even GUI designer and CVS integration).

Or, use "C-h i" in the mother of all editors  ;)

For both of my two suggestions here, you need to run X on your desktop to get
any reasonable experience (Emacs doesn't require X, but it helps, KDevelop
won't run without X).

If you're new to GNU/Linux or UNIX development, I can highly recommend reading
The Art of UNIX Programming, a work-in-progress by Eric Raymond.  Just
disregards his comments about C++, he obviously doesn't know what he's
