GNIC-I in a SMP (Intel AP450GX Server)

Has anyone been successful using the yellowfin driver for a GNIC-I in a
four-processor Intel AP450GX Server?

Packet Engines customer service tells me that their NT driver had to be
rewritten to accomodate the GX chipset due to timing issues and something
about padding the "total word length".

When attempting to use the latest version of the driver (1.02) and linux
2.1.124, we see that the card's TX light doesn't come on and the error message:
"eth0: Yellowfin transmit timed out, status 00000008, resetting. . ." is
reported. Our EtherExpress Pro 100 functions perfectly in this computer using
the eepro100.c driver. If I go into 'netcfg' and deactivate and re-activate
the card, the GNIC will let a few pings squeak out -- they're visible watching
the TX light -- but then the card hangs and the net goes dead.

Does anybody have any suggestions about how to modify the yellowfin.c driver
for the GX chipset?

Thanks!

Anthony Caola
