Hello,

I have problems with kernel-2.4.0 and the 3c59x.c driver. Systems starts
up, but
some times it crashes while heavy network load.

My system: Dual-PIII, 3C980C-TXM, Kernel-2.4.0-ac9

On console I get the following error message:

eth0: Transmit error, Tx status register 82.
  Flags; bus-master 1, full 0; dirty 17126(6) current 17126(6).
  Transmit list 00000000 vs. f72c0260.

  15: @f72c02f0 length 800005ea status 000105ea

I tried different versions of 3c59x and the patched kernel from Alan Cox
in version
'-ac9'. The latest driver I tried was '3c59x.c:LK1.1.12 06 Jan 2001'.

The drivers from 3Com itself, 3c90x-1.0.0i, can't be compiled for the
new kernel.

Any idea or help?

Thanks,

Andreas
