Hi Linuxer's!

Keywords: National Semiconductor network card, linux support needed,
          chipset 16-bit ISA-bus 10/100Mbit: DP83800,
          chipset PCI-bus card 10/100Mbit: DP83815

Can anyone of you out there name a newsgroup where I could place
my question without being off topic, like I am here?

-------------snipp----------------
I would like to know if there are any driver(s) available for the
network cards from National Semiconductor.

I myself have three cards (16bit ISA-bus 10/100Mbit capable) with
the main DP83800 chip, alongside with the DP-83840 and DP 83223,
all made in the USA.

NSC themselves now have the same network card as PCI-bus version
in there product table. They also have a software programming
guide for DP83800.

They only seem to support the the new card at all, although
documentation of
the former mentioned chipsets are available online as pdf files.

I am not able to program network cards so I am hoping to find some
support from people who have the knowledge.

Perhaps the new chipset DP83815 is supported somewhere within the
linux community and there are people out there who have the answer.
-------------snapp----------------

Bye and thanks for the help in advance,

Werner M. Mayer
