  I install a 3C905B NIC in my HP VE PII450 pc. After running
  about 1-2 hours, I have to retype commands:
  # ifconfig eth0 down
  # ifconfig eth0 IP_ADDRESS.
  Otherwise the NIC would not receive and transmit any
  packets without no error message reported.
