3c59x: recurring transmit errors (solved?)

Has anyone solved the problem with transmit errors for 3c59x driver?

My situation here is that when the memory is tight, the transmit erorr will
happen. My PC has 64Mb, but I run quite a lot of thing in it, especially
web server which started about 25 instance of server! I believe that ate a
lot of ram. Besides that, I ran INND, Https, Sendmail, MySQL server.... and
every monday I will run Analog to do log analysis. All in one machine. 64Mb
seems not enough and I saw "out of memory" message appear on the console!

I hope someone can confirm that low memory can cause transmit erorrs.

I have just upgraded the RAM to 128Mb. I hope to see smooth running for
months without interruption.

My ethernet card is initialized as following,

Sep 7 19:51:18 lisa kernel: 3c59x.c:v0.99E 5/12/98 Donald Becker
http://cesdis.
gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html
Sep 7 19:51:18 lisa kernel: The PCI BIOS has not enabled this device!
Updati
ng PCI command 0103->0107.
Sep 7 19:51:18 lisa kernel: eth0: 3Com 3c590 Vortex 10Mbps at 0xdce0,
00:c0:4f:
c2:b7:e6, IRQ 11
Sep 7 19:51:18 lisa kernel: 32K byte-wide RAM 1:1 Rx:Tx split, 10baseT
interf
ace.
Sep 7 19:51:18 lisa kernel: eth0: Overriding PCI latency timer (CFLT)
setting o
f 32, new value is 248.

The transmit erorr appears like this,

Sep 7 18:20:36 lisa kernel: eth0: transmit timed out, tx_status 00 status
e000.
Sep 7 18:21:07 lisa last message repeated 39 times
Sep 7 18:22:08 lisa last message repeated 46 times
Sep 7 18:23:10 lisa last message repeated 30 times
Sep 7 18:24:16 lisa last message repeated 10 times
Sep 7 18:24:48 lisa last message repeated 8 times
