It is a 3c575, I couldn't get the 3ccfe575 to work at all. I did try
ejecting it a couple of times, I thought it got close but no turkey.

> Were you getting any error messages in the logs?

No, I can't see any in /var/log/messages. Here is what the kernel says
when it loads this module;

Oct  5 19:14:33 antonia kernel: 3c59x.c:v0.99G 9/25/98 Donald Becker http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html
Oct  5 19:14:33 antonia kernel: cs: cb_config(bus 32): vendor 0x10b7, device 0x5057
Oct  5 19:14:33 antonia kernel:   fn 0 bar 1: io 0x100-0x13f
Oct 5 19:14:33 antonia kernel: fn 0 rom: mem 0xa0000000-0xa000ffff
Oct  5 19:14:33 antonia kernel: vortex_attach(bus 32, function 0, device 5057)
Oct  5 19:14:33 antonia kernel: eth0: 3Com 3c575 Boomerang CardBus at 0x100,  00:60:08:d2:5e:84, IRQ 3
Oct  5 19:14:33 antonia kernel:   8K word-wide RAM 3:5 Rx:Tx split, autoselect/MII interface.
Oct 5 19:14:33 antonia kernel: MII transceiver found at address 0, status 7809.
Oct 5 19:14:33 antonia kernel: Enabling bus-master transmits and whole-frame receives.

It happily switches between 100 and 10 networks without me doing anything.
Could that be the trouble? Do I need to restart the card or anything?
