[tulip] device or resource busy

Others seem to have had the same problem, so I apologize
for the repetition.

I am using kernel 2.2.17, and a linksys 10/100 ethernet card.

I did the following:

 rpm -i ftp://ftp.scyld.com/pub/network/netdriver-2.0.src.rpm
 cd RPM
 rpm -bb SPECS/netdriver.spec
 rpm -i --force RPMS/i686/netdriver-2.0-3.i686.rpm

These commands apparently update the modules in
/lib/modules/2.2.17/net.

Then I try:

 cd /lib/modules/2.2.17/net
 insmod pci-scan.o
 insmod ./tulip.o

The result is:

./tulip.o: init_module: Device or resource busy

I'm unsure what to try now. If I can provide more pertinent information,
please let me know.

Thanks for any help!

Charles.
