I would suggest getting the latest version of tulip from http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/tulip.html

Hi, I'm using the tulip-driver for a D-Link DFE-540TX ethernet card on a Redhat 6.0 Linux box. Unfortunately, I don't succeed in bringing the interface up with ifconfig. 'ifconfig' gives a segmentation fault, resulting in a register dump to my screen. I can load the tulip-module with 'insmod', though. I hope that someone can help me.
