Tulip status update:
I have confirmed that the current 21041 media selection code is bogus,
and doesn't correctly switch to full duplex on a NWay autonegotiated link.

I'm about to release an updated 'tulip-diag' that allows writing the
default media selection field in the EEPROM. I recommend that you
   *don't* use the new feature.

The next version will also attempt to address the Alpha-164UX / 21143-TC
   problem.

I don't know of a technical means to stop these messages.

In this case AI.NET is a large ISP, with valid list subscribers.
As usual I attempted to contact the spammers (I got only voice mail) and
I reported the spam to abuse@<ISP>. Since I got a "we will check this out"
form letter I didn't put them into the host.deny list.

Moderating the list isn't a workable solution.
For instance, I wasn't able to answer my email last week.
And I get so much email that I batch my reading by topic.

If this becomes a common problem I'll convert to a message board format,
where I can post-facto eliminate message. But message boards are more
appropriate for an archive of announcements than development discussions.
