source code for /sbin/route

Does anyone know where the source code for 'route' can be found?

I've grep'ed all the makefiles in the Linux source tree, but can't
find where route is actually produced. I found a route.c under
/usr/src/linux/net/ipv4 but it cannot be the right code because
route is a standalone executable not a module nor a kernel builtin.
There is no command argument parsing in /usr/src/linux/net/ipv4/route.c.
