What makes you think that your hub supports full duplex?

"Hub" usually means "repeater", which is a half duplex device.
The device is usually called a "switch" if it supports full duplex.

Forcing full duplex is almost always a bad idea. If you have an old switch
which doesn't support autonegotiation it's best to just leave it in half
duplex mode. You'll never notice the performance difference , but you will
notice the performance drop with a duplex mismatch.
