tulip driver & Asante Fast 10/100 card

The net cards we've been buying, Asante Fast 10/100, recently switched
from 21140A chips to the PNIC chips. On startup, the driver reports the
chip as a "Lite-On 82c168 PNIC rev 32". It works for a bit, but as soon
as you try to transfer more than about 50K of data through the card, it
locks, and the interface has to be taken down and brought back up again to
restore connectivity. I have tried the tulip driver versions 0.89H
(version that comes with current Linux kernel), 0.91 (latest), and 0.91g
(latest test version). Same behavior with all. Is there any info I can
provide to help get support for this card into the driver, or maybe
someone already knows how to solve this?

BTW, I have tried switching one of the older Asante cards that use the
real 21140A in, and things work just fine, so I'm pretty confident it's
not any configuration/network problems.
