Problem while using Tulip driver

Hello,

I'm running Red Hat Linux 5.1 on a Umax Pentium II-400 with a
Linksys EtherFast 10/100 LAN Card which reports a PNIC chip.
It is a 2.0.35 kernel, and I have a v0.88 tulip.c driver.

Linux/tulip does appear to find the network card, and I configured
the network. However, when I try to find other machines on my
network (my netmask etc. are fine, I'm not running NIS or DNS),
it keeps giving me the error:

eth0: transmit timed out, status 06061000 CSR12 00000035

I looked in some of the archives but did not find anything. If I missed
anything, please let me know where to look.

I will greatly appreciate any help on this,
